NURSE Lucy Angel
The LA Face Academy was started in 2019 with the ethos that one-on-one training is the safest and most effective method to offer medical aesthetics training. This is still the ethos 6 years on. Lucy is registered with the Joint Council for Cosmetic Practitioners and is a member of the British Association of Medical Aesthetic Nurses and the British Dermatological Nursing Group. The CPD-accredited courses are also recognized by Hamilton Fraser Cosmetic Insurance.
Lucy has been a Registered Nurse for 21 years, starting her career as a Maxillo-Facial Head & Neck Nurse before entering Medical Aesthetics in 2007. and then becoming an Independent Nurse Prescriber in 2016. She's trained others within the speciality for over 18 years. Lucy gained the BTEC Laser & Light Therapies in 2015, the Award in Education & Training (AET) in 2018 and a Master's Degree in Aesthetic Medicine with Distinction from the Queen Mary University of London in 2020. She guest lectured on Aesthetics for 5 years at the University of East Anglia (NMC V300 course) until 2021. ​
Lucy is currently a UK Regional Trainer for ReLife Aesthetics/Menarini Group. Among her influences are Dr. David Ecclestone, Dr. Mauricio de Maio, Dr. Vincent Wong, Dr. Ali Ghanem, Dr. Fanak Zandi, Nurses Lucy McGeough, Alison Telfer, and Mel Reccia.

After a one-month preparation period, including two complimentary shadow sessions with requirements to read key texts and e-learning, this short course is delivered over 5 practical days. The course covers the history of aesthetic medicine, theory of fillers, filler rheology, theory of Botulinum Toxin A, neurotoxin pharmacology, dilution and storage, patient consultation, assessment and psychology, advanced facial anatomy, and complications management. ​
Teaching incorporates teaching on live demo models.
6 full face models are required - £300 each (suitable models can be supplied)

Advanced Peri-oral & Lip Filler

A one-day CPD course taught one-2-one, introducing injectors with previous training and lip filler experience to top up skills. the advanced theory and practical techniques of injecting the peri-oral and lip areas with Hyaluronic Acid fillers. Training incorporates ideas from various methods including the MD Codes™.

The course covers the history of filler, filler compositions, and rheology, patient assessment, psychology and consultation, complications management, advanced facial anatomy, and see a live demo treatment.

Filler Complications Management

A CPD day course introducing theory and practical session around the management of hyaluronic acid filler complications using injectable and topical varieties of dissolving.
​The course uses evidence based medicine to cover the theory of filler rheology, patient assessment and diagnosis, drug facts about injectable and topical dissolvents and general and emergency algorithms.
Live demos incorporated and 2 models required - £150 per model. ​​

After a one-month preparation period, including two complimentary shadow sessions and workbook materials, this short course is delivered over 3 practical days, with the third day 3 weeks later to consolidate. The course introduces beginners to the foundational theory and techniques of injecting hyaluronic acid skin boosters and polynucleotides.
The course also covers patient assessment, psychology and consultation, complications management,
advanced facial anatomy, and a live demo treatment. 6 models requires - £150 each. ​​

Skin Needling for Beginners

Skin Needling is an advanced aesthetic procedure and is essential for every practitioner to offer in a successful aesthetic clinic. The course covers the classifications of skin needling, skin conditions, and diseases, patient consultation, assessment, protocols and documentation, anatomy, and physiology.
Teaching involves a live demo treatment and 4 models to gain hands-on practical experience using automated, roller and stamping devices. Key texts and research articles supplied.
4 models are required - each to pay £50.​

Non-medical Prescribing DPP Service

The Non-medical Prescribing Course DPP Service is open to delegates seeking to acquire the V300 non-medical prescribing course. All those who apply for the Non-Medical Prescribing v300 Course require a DPP (Designated Prescribing Practitioner) or PA (Practice Accessor) before application. The V300 non-medical prescribing course is a dual award of independent and supplementary prescribing designed for nurses, midwives, advanced clinical practitioners, and the allied health professions. Fee includes up to 90 hours supervised practice as required by the University.
